The Math of Chemistry

Some of you have been struggling with the math and significant figures so we are going to take a brief interlude into practicing some math skills.

In your email you should have an invitation to our chemistry class in Khan Academy.

Tuesday, February 16
Scientific Notation
Significant Figures

Quiz on Scientific Notation and sig figs. (available Wed)

Wednesday, February 17
  1. Finish any of the above practices from before (they are going into the gradebook)
  2. Take the quiz (Mr. Lopez has the secret word); 20 questions, 20 minutes timed
  3. Work on missing chemistry assignments
  4. Organize notebook
    1. Page 46 - Unit 7 Cover page
    2. Page 47 - Tape in Moles & Molar Mass Notes
    3. Page 48 - Write the conditions for STP and what it means in your notebook AND DRAW the mole road map.  Do not cut and paste the notes in your notebook. Handwrite, draw and use color.
    4. Page 49 - Tape in Percent Composition notes.
