Unit 6 - Chemical Reactions

Since we understand how atoms bond, we now will look at reactions.
Why do some reactions happen and others don't?
Are there patterns to chemical reactions?  If so, what are they?

We will also start learning how to predict how much is made in a reaction.
Ungraded practice
   Predicting Reaction Type
   Does this Reaction Occur?

   Predicting the Names of Products
   Equation Balancing #1

Having difficulty seeing the patterns for the different reaction types?

Click through the slides to the right to see more examples where I show you the patterns with the reaction types.

Lesson 6A - Reaction Prediction

It seems I never recorded a video of this one. I will work on that. Meanwhile, here are the slides and a video on the activity series.
